Zero – Movie Review

Director: Aanand L. Rai
Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Abhay Deol, R Madhavan, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sheeba Chadha

Bauua Singh (Shahrukh Khan) is a 38-year-old unmarried man from Meerut. He is a vertically challenged man having a height of 4 feet and 6 inches. He goes to shaadi.com to find a suitable bride for him. He finds Aafia (Anushka Sharma) a senior scientist from US.

Aafia and Bauua Singh share an awesome bond but somehow Bauua Singh leaves her for superstar Babita Kumari halfway through their marriage. What happens next forms the climax of the movie.
The story of Zero is very beautifully crafted. The dialogues are the winner of the movie and Shahrukh Khan delivers them well.

Shahrukh Khan as Bauua Singh has done complete justice to his role and has given the best performance of the year. Anushka Sharma has done a great job of presenting her physical character and her dialogue delivery is awesome. Katrina Kaif manages to impress in her small role as a superstar. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub is perfect for the comic timings. Cameos of the actress: Sridevi, Alia, Kajol, Juhi, Deepika are totally wasted.

The background music of Zero is better than the songs of the movie. Mere Naam Tu is really good and stays on the lips of everyone. Husn Parcham, Issaqbaazi and Heer Badnaam are added just for the sake of adding songs to the movie.

Zero leaves you with a smile on your face. Witty dialogues, amazing performances, beautiful story – worth a watch!
