Director: Aleya Sen
Cast: Taapsee Pannu, Saqib Saleem, Nidhi Singh
A romantic story which will make you fall asleep or bore you till end – Dil Juunglee.
The movie name also has repeated characters. The debutant director Aleya Sen believes in Numerology we guess. She has written the story herself.
The daughter of a rich businessman, Koroli (Taapsee Pannu) wants to pursue her English Literature and settle down with a perfect guy unlike her dad who wants her to be a businesswoman. She meets Sumit Uppal (Saqib Saleem) who wants to learn English to make a mark in Bollywood.
They both elope and marry as Koroli is Manglik. Slowly they realize the love between them is a fairy tale. The movie takes a leap of 7 years and directly to London. Will these two come together? If yes, what will draw them closer?
The usual boring romantic story in Bollywood. You will land up yawning in this movie.
Bandeya and Dil Jaane Na are the only good tracks in the movie. Background music does not go so well with the storyline.
Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu share a great chemistry together. Saqib has a great comic timing but fails due to his lousy character. He seems to be a good aspiring actor. Taapsee’s talent is surely wasted, though she looks cute in her glasses. She says she is lonely but that emotion doesn’t show in the movie.
Most of the sequences in the movie are left halfway. You don’t realize why few things happen? We never understood why there are differences between Taapsee and her dad. This movie story could have been better, though the direction is average.
Dare to watch this film? Don’t even think. A Jungle Safari would be better than to watch this Dil Juunglee Movie. Talent of all actors have been wasted including the lead cast, they would do better in any other movie.
