Writing and Direction

Anushree Mehta directs this movie. The dialogues are also his, and the script department is his responsibility. He could make neither cash in on the thrill nor the comedy. The movie punctured in the process of fulfilling so many responsibilities. Seeing the awkward scenes of the movie, you will easily catch that it is the product of an inadequate director. This is Anushree’s first movie as a director in which he has given less entertainment and more message.

Director Anushree keeps the story in the circle of comedy. But the movie neither becomes a complete comedy nor a thriller. While the killer is completely serious, the task force ones are comedies. Here is an attempt to give comic style to all the scenes of Radhika and Rajesh Sharma. But sometimes they become serious too.

The biggest weakness of Mrs Undercover is its writing. The dialogue could be more powerful and realistic enough to add depth to the characters. Apart from the poor story, its screenplay has no suspense or thrill. The script is loosely woven, keeping the suspense and tension broken throughout the movie. As a viewer, you have already come to know in the scene which is the serial killer. Now how will Durga reach this killer? This thing needs to be created properly.

Mrs Undercover Movie Cast and Acting

The performances in Mrs Undercover are top-notch, with the actors delivering powerful performances that leave a lasting impact. Radhika Apte, who plays the lead role of Durga, is exceptional in her portrayal of a young woman torn between her love for her country and her duty towards her family. Rajesh Sharma, as Chief Rangila, delivers a noteworthy performance, easily displaying a range of emotions. Other supporting actors also leave a mark with their performances, adding depth to the movie’s characters.

VisiSoothe Review - Dry Eye Relief

Sumeet Vyas disappoints as a killer on the edge of all logic. He goes on killing very coldly, but he does not look fit in this role. Also, the climax of the movie created with him is very weak. He does not seem like a villain in front of Durga. Director kept all logic aside while writing and shooting. He does not impress at all at the writer and director level. If there is anything worth seeing in the movie, then Radhika Apte’s acting. Rajesh Sharma is also successful in tickling at some places.

Music and Cinematography

The music of Mrs Undercover, composed by Amit Sawant, is soulful and melodious, perfectly complementing the movie’s narrative. The songs are well-integrated into the screenplay, enhancing the comedic impact of the scenes. The soul-stirring tracks like “Durga Mahakali” and “Shaani Rani” are not only melodious but also carry a strong connection, resonating with the audience even after the movie ends. The background music by Kshitij Tarey is also noteworthy, heightening the comedy and drama of the movie.

The cinematography of Mrs Undercover, done by Abhimanyu Sengupta, is impressive and adds depth to the storytelling. The movie is set on the theme of crime, and the cinematography excellently captures the stunning scenes, adding visual appeal to the movie. The use of lighting and color tones further enhances the mood and atmosphere of the movie, whether it’s the scene of the murders or the tense moments of spying.
