Rangoon is a simple love triangle in India during 1943, against the backdrop of World War II.
The movie involves an ex-actor turned film producer Rustom Billimoria aka Rusi (Saif Ali Khan), his lover Julia (Kangana Ranaut) and the army personnel Jamadar Nawab Malik (Shahid Kapoor) who is assigned to protect Julia during her journey to the border where she entertains the Indian Army ruled over by the British.
Jawaab Nawab Malik protects Julia and then both eventually fall in love. Meanwhile Rusi is searching for Julia, he even takes help of British Army to find her.
Will Nawab and Julia’s love story have a happy ending? Will Rusi take his revenge for lost love? Watch Rangoon to know the story.
Songs of the movie are melodious and the background score is melancholic. But the songs “Yeh Ishq Hai” and “Bloody Hell” are the ones you will remember.
Two worlds come together in this movie, one is Shakespear’s tragedy and other is valiant lovers of Indian Cinema. Vishal Bhardwaj has done a good job in conveying the story of this movie.
Overall, neither pleasure nor pain but a drama that captures your attention till the end.
