In his Bandra apartment on 17th January with the whole Bollywood was sleeping in a peaceful night. But Saif Ali Khan and his family is struggling with an attacker with knives. According to the timelines of CCTV, the attacker entered the Bandra apartment at 1:37AM through stairs. In the footage, the face of the attacker is not clear as it is covered with a cloth.
At 02:00AM, the attacker was inside Saif`s house as he was spotted by the house help Eliyama Philip in Saif`s youngest son Jehangir`s room. After hearing the commotion, Saif and his wife Kareena Kapoor rushed to their son`s room and Saif got injured in the scuffle with the intruder.

The Bollywood superstar has a wide range of cars that includes almost every luxury brand but after the attack. The actor relied on an auto rikshaw driver Bhajan Singh who took him to the Lilavati hospital with his son Taimur.
In an interview the auto rikshaw driver recounted the account of the incident. When a man bleeding heavily reached to his auto and without recognizing him he immediately took him to the hospital. Due to heavy bleeding he arrived to the emergency gate. Where the hospital staff rushed to him and after seeing Saif Ali Khan injury, they took him to the ICU. The driver also mentioned that he had no idea that Saif Ali Khan himself was sitting in his auto rikshaw. When the staff took him to the ICU then only he recognized.

On Friday, doctors made a shocking statement about Saif Ali Khan health that the actor escaped the knife cut in his spine by 2 millimetres which is quite close and a 2.5-inch blade piece was found near his spine. He also mentioned that the actor got multiple stabbed marks on his body.
The doctor also gave a brief about the situation that even after so much blood shed, Saif walked in like a “hero” of real life. Saif Ali Khan knife wound on back got operated by Dr. Nitin Dange who is a neurosurgeon in Lilavati Hospital. He also added that Saif is doing good and even started walking but kept in a limited access room to avoid the infections. His spine fluid is operated and he will be discharged in few days. He is already out of operation theatre and shifted to special room to rest. Otherwise, the chances of wounds on the back to get re-infected again will increase. After his speedy recovery, the doctors confirmed today about Saif Ali Khan discharge and he will be under observation for some time.

After three days of the stabbing incident, Mumbai Police finally arrested Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi resident who is alleged of attacking the actor. This successful arrest completed after two misidentifications, on Sunday police confirmed that Shehzad illegally entered to India through multiple aliases. Police also mentioned that Shehzad entered to actor`s house for theft but ended with stabbing the actor multiple times.
Shehzad is a local resident of Jhalokati, Bangladesh and came to India for theft. After misidentification, the police got the breakthrough when Shehzad was planning to flee back to his country back and now police have registered case against him in Thane on multiple charges of house breaking, grievous assault and illegally entering in India. In a press conference, Deputy Commissioner mentioned the names of the two aliases of Shehzad i.e. Bijoy Das and Vijay Das. He also mentioned that Shehzad was working in housekeeping jobs from past six months.
